Rove = F'UP?
Edited on Sun Apr-24-05 04:00 PM by mcd1982
I seem to remember that, after Election 2004, Rove started a task force to research 20th Century President's 2nd terms b/c they are so often "lame duck" periods, and Rove wanted to avoid such a fate with Bush.

What the heck happened to that? Bush is getting beaten on Social Security, DeLay is mired in controversy, Bolton is stymied for the moment, gas prices are rising, deaths in Iraq seem to be going up again, many states are suing over NCLB, the list goes on...

Perhpas Rove isn't as genius some give him credit for?

On Edit: Bush also has the highest Republican control of Congress in decades, if not ever - and he still can't seem to get major pieces of legislation through. One can only hope this keeps up...

1. Or perhaps shrub's agenda is just so bad
that no one can put lipstick on the pig. There's not enough lipstick in the world to pretty up the trashing of Amerika.

3. he's not a genius
just lucky

You would think a boy buggering sleaze like rove
would be in jail by now if it wasn't for the boy
buggering judges and politicians proping him up.

4. Overcome by HUBRIS
He made the mistake of actually believing his own publicity.

Or, as they used to say back in the old days, pride goeth before a fall!

5. Okay wait... Rove is NOT a genius!
He is NOT a freakin' mastermind!

He is an unenlightened, 2nd fiddle, overeating fat-boy frat-boy sycophant. So what, he gathers tons of data...he obviously didn't know how to deal with it in several circumstances in the last few years. He has made several blunders (Terry Schiavo, for instance.)

Blundering sycophant - LET'S ALL AGREE TO FRAME IT THAT WAY, PLEASE? You are correct, he is getting way too much credit!

He got lucky a few times with a few dirty tricks, mostly because when any Dem was attacked, they were so taken aback by the lies, they didn't respond quickly.

With Dean appropriating money properly for the state-level races, and other Dems finally learning that they will be rewarded (by emails, letters and roses) for speaking out on our talking points, we will be better able to counter and reverse any "rovian" tactics that come our way in the campaigns of 2006.
