Move-On targets Stenny Hoyar (D-MD) in televised ads. FINALLY!
Ive been getting flammed for years trying to expose this right-wing shill.

He has a plan to give the GOP what is has wanted all along, a "compromise" that raises the retirement age on SS. This is a Democratic leader mind you.

Anyway there has been a huge behind the scenes Democratic civil war the past week in the house caucus , where lots of ugly shouting between the conservative/DLC factions and the liberal/progressive factions.Hoyars support for the bankruptcy legislation drew lots of angry protests by liberal members and then DLCers returned fire at Pelosi.

Anyway, I fully support Move-On and apologise to them for all the "Democrats" that want to obsess over 2008 gimmics when we are loosing badly TODAY on so many votal issues.

We have turned into a party with a base full of clowns and out of touch on any issue that contains substance.Every post I ever made on Hoyar was met with either flamming or no reply.People were too busy posting endless revisions on their "dream candidate" for 2008.NO substance included of coarse.

Big thumbs up to Move-On!

I rather liked Lightupthedarkness piece exposing Moveon's hypocrisy in this matter:

2. I find..
... that missive unconvincing at best.

Comparing Byrd to Hoyer is ridiculous, they have very different roles.

MoveOn might not be perfect, but they are a helluva lot better than the "go along to get along" "I'm happy to have a prestigous job with no responsibilities to my constituents" "please don't look too close" crowd that has INFESTED and INFECTED the Democratic party.

One by one we have to get rid of these clowns. If they cannot stand firm on the most basic and IMHO uncontroversial of issues, what good are they. Send their fucking asses home.

3. I happen to think that whole kit and caboodle up there in Washington
is corrupt on both sides. The corporations run the country. Congress in simply there to do the bidding for them. Refreshing to here Obama speak today since he has not been corrupted by that bunch up there as of yet. Oh what a sad plight this country is.

4. Are you talking about Reid as well, or about Byrd or others?
When is MoveOn going to target Byrd to support changing the Constitution to forbid gay marriage as well?

I am not in favor of them doing it, but I have as many problem with Byrd and Reid's record than I have with Hoyer.
