WH Communications Director on TODAY show - WTF?!?
Nicole Devenish, White House Communications Director, just told Matt Lauer that Bush's push to piratize Social Security is "a debate and a campaign still very much in its infancy."

Oh, great. What fresh Hell are they threatening to unleash to try and sell more people on this boondoggle??

2. They aren't gonna just walk away from this.
Rove, and by extension Bush, have their asses on the line for this. Especially Rove. If this goes down in finality, the potential for Rove deciding to "spend more time with his family"(which undoubtedly includes a 350 lb. Bear Daddy who braids his chest hair) is very great, for he has heaped the coals of scorn and failure on the BFEE and that will never do.

Fuck, this is so like living in the Soviet Union under the party apparatchik. But these guys have more money to play with.

3. The WH is hunting for bear, not only are they going to re-tool and
start the SS fight all over again, but there is no way in hell they are going to concede Bolton.

The Democrats are just like our fighting forces in Iraq, under staffed, and woefully armed.

I am crawling back into my depression.
