Delay and the KKK
Edited on Wed Apr-27-05 12:19 PM by adolfo
On Edit: The original article is Satire by David Albrecht. Ok, ya got me! These are sad times when you can't tell the difference between truth and fiction in politics.

Delay:

"God commands me, indeed God commands all of us to disembowel these traitors to His Holy Law. God commands us to take these communists and pederasts, whether they're in the Senate, or in the House, or on the federal bench, or in Hollywood, or in the NEA or wherever they might be, and to haul them before a crowd of righteous Americans to be guillotined. They deserve nothing less. If you spit in God's face, don't be surprised at the price you will pay,"

**Disclaimer: These are just the opinions of the poster which may not be factual.**

As more words come out of his mouth it is becoming very clear. Why doesn't he just claim his true affiliations with the KKK?

Those are fighting words and it looks like he wants a civil war.

1. Do you believe there will be a civil war???
OMG, finally someone else who sees things the way I do. And what's this comment: God commands all of us to disembowel these traitors to His Holy Law??????????? :wtf:

People like DeLaid are scaring the crap out of me. Religion and the church have no business in politics or public education. I noticed that this is not a complete quote (or is it?) and he didn't mention the NRA. Yeah, you're a christian all right.

4. Exactly
On this other board I'm on someone asked about that and basically every person said that politics doesn't have a place in church. These people are Bush supporters for at least 90%. So even they think there is no place in politics for religion.

5. It did have an Onion-like flavor to it.
My browser tab for DU takes me directly to this discussion, and I don't check the home page as often as I should. I missed that one.

I agree; the times are so bad that it becomes hard to tell satire from reality. But that's all the more reason to be clear on it. Some of us may 'run with it' and make fools of themselves. We could perhaps all need a salutory catcall now and then, but our beliefs may also be discredited. That's not always good.
