The Republican Budget Cuts Small Business Funds
Happy National Small Business Week: The Republican Budget Cuts Small Business Funds
29 April 2005

In a huge blow to small business yesterday, the Kerry Snowe Amendment ((SA.216) was eliminated from final federal budget. The amendment (SA.216) passed in the Senate last month with the support of all 100 Senators. It was later removed from the final legislation by the Republican Congressional leadership. John Kerry voted against the final federal budget bill yesterday.

“The Republicans only pay lip service to small businesses and manufacturers. How ironic that during National Small Business Week the Republican party has chosen tax favors for the wealthiest over programs that benefit America's small businesses and manufacturers," said Kerry, the top Democrat on the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee. “To grow our economy and restore our eroding manufacturing sector, we should be increasing, not decreasing, assistance for small businesses and manufacturers.”

1. Big Corporate Business Is The Only Thing That Matters To.........
.....Bush and the Repukes. They only care about people or organizations that can shovel big money into their campaign coffers. I didn't think I could become more disgusted than I already am, but I was wrong.

2. Bush mentioned "small businesses and famlies" in one breath last night-
obviously they mean nothing to him-unless he can USE them somehow.

5. Why help millions of small businesses-it will hurt profits to corporations
Edited on Fri Apr-29-05 04:45 PM by LaPera
The more small businesses that go under, the more people will have to depend on and spend their money with corporate conglumates...

Small business' are pesky little fucks too, those tax dollars should go to the corporations, not small businesses, to help keep them afloat, the more small business that fold, the better it is for American Corporations.

BushCo Knows!

8. got an e-mail at work
that probably had something to do with this; from American small business association(?). They were really gnashing their teeth about it. Also had something about small companies not getting military contracts, so that only the big boys would get the money.
