*, the History Channel, Joseph Goebbels, and Iraq. Just thoughts.

I watched the history channel last night on the the fall
of the Third Reich. And I was struck by how much Joseph Goebbels
telling the German people that everything was going to turn out
O.K. as a really pissed off Soviet army was swarming over the
German/Polish baltic area in 1945. seemed just like the crap we
are hearing about Iraq. Last week 13 US Dead, over 120 Iraqi
police, army, and recruits dead, and 30 + well timed attacks (in 60 hours)
and some US general says, "This proves how weak and desperate they
are."

When will "they" tell one too many lies? Our forces # 130,000 in Iraq.
Iraq has 24,000,000 people of which I would guess 18,000,000 want
to see us dead and or gone. The control of the message even late in the
game for the nazis or now w/ * & company struck me very similar.
