I'm fuming mad tonight about the "presence" of the Democrats...
Edited on Mon May-16-05 09:58 PM by Gloria
I've been fuming all day about how wimpy they really are, to the point where Clinton has to tell them to play a little dirtier. And this is years after he told them that it's better to be strong and wrong than weak and right.

Frankly, they have to counter Bushco crap on EVERY issue...

Let's look at some of the "heavyweights" on some of these key committees...Levin, Biden, for example. When Biden isn't ass kissing Bushco, he occasionally can nail them good. Why? He gets sassy and in their faces. Actually, he can be as cold as ice and that's what is effective. Levin has experience and can speak...he can hone a message, can't he?? For Christ's sake....we don't have anyone going after Condi for that crap about how the Iraq war "came our way and not the other way around?" And when they do come out, how about staying on the same message--that means you, Joementum.

Shit, if they started to counter this nonsense, maybe the media would start covering it. Why should they lift a finger if our "experts" in the Senate won't bother. This should be a CONSTANT campaign, every day. Get a couple of people from the House and Senate and get it going.

Same thing with this judges. Start tearing them down. Owens and Enron.
Get out there and play the game!!

1. That's what I've been saying since the early 1980s, Gloria
I've gradually come to the conclusion that the ones who aren't corrupted are being threatened or blackmailed. :-(

3. Oh, I've been on this for a long time, too...ranting to my friends...
This is just another periodic eruption.

I can't believe that these people operate as if they're in a "normal" world. The power of the party and the people are being STOLEN from them at every turn, and they sit there and can't even get a bit bothered by it.

I don't know who I detest more at this point...the Republicans or the shell of this Democratic party.

4. Money talks. This is why
Joe Biden has his moments, but there are times when the influence of money on him is telling. Just look at his vote on the bankruptcy reform bill. 18 Democratic senators voted for it. The power of money is immense.

8. Do you remember the story about Reid and Kerry?
Fighting over how hard to go after the Republicans? Kerry said Reid wasn't fighting hard enough.

So, is Reid fighting hard enough? Or was Kerry right?

Do we need to call Reid's Senate office and tell him to fight harder? Or is what Reid's doing working?

I wonder. Sometimes I just love Harry. He's a tough old bird, but you wouldn't know to look at him. Some described his style as jujitsu.

Which is better: brawling head on the way Kerry seems to want to, or using more finesse the way Reid seems to be doing.

I don't know. You'd think I'd be on Kerry's side in this, but I am rather impressed with Reid at the moment.

What say y'all?
