Has anyone here asked a friend, co-worker, family member, or just someone you're chatting with that only gets their info from listening to blips on the nightly news?
.."how many of our troops do you think have died in Iraq this month" I ask.. (this month, meaning "THIS" month -- May 2005)
I ask them all the time and I'm telling you.. I get such completely ridiculous off-target quesses!
.."Uh.. :think: .. I dunno... three?.. four?"
~~~~~~~ ((( :mad: )))
It's "out of sight, out of mind" to so many of them!
"No, actually you're way off. x( There have been 37 deaths in the first 17 days of May."
It was on this website (DU :grouphug: ) that someone shared the Iraq Coalition website a long time ago. I wish the media was as good as that site about reminding Americans that there ARE still troops losing their lives every----single-----day...
