On NBC & CBS news tonight ........ (head explode)
Congress is getting tough on steroids in sports. CBS lead story
Man I am so glad they are on that huge problem.

The grenade that did not explode got closer to Commandeer
Cuckoo Bananas. (I wonder if their any people who are pissed
@ C.C.B.?)

al Zawaki (sp.) had a secrete meeting in Syria (them Syrians hate
our freedom) ..... The pentagon told us about the meeting ..... I trust 'em :sarcasm:

The man who turned a blind eye to DEATH SQUADS is now in charge
of US intel.

Newsweek caused the riots in Afghanistan not C.C.B. (Commandeer
Cuckoo Bananas) taking forces out of Afghanistan so the Taliban could get back
in power ......... BTW what is the circulation of Newsweek in Afghanistan?

A laser system will keep small planes from getting into US Capital Air Space
(so as to allow longer bike rides by C.C.B.)

Not one word on one of the most powerful speeches ever in the Capital....
Galloway"s.

Some news jerk said that Iraq continues to be a problem but
the US forces are gaining control???????

This nazi germany circa 1936 ......

My country has been taken over by media manipulating thugs who
are working 24/7 to ruin it and gain total control over everything.

Up is down & black is white

I need a drink!

3. Trite advice
Have you considered not watching the news? I gave it up over two years ago. Did me a world of good. I'm better informed and a lot less prone to crankiness. Give it a try! :)

..... I was just shocked @ how over the top the bullshit was. It
was like "they" were not even going through the motions of being
reporters and journalists.

Does Rove have some of their family members held hostage
someplace?

Your are right that is it for me and networks news. It is a fucking
joke!

8. news, you can't handle the news!!!
Then agian, what news can you trust? Bwahahahaha ;-). I guess it depends on what angle your looking at it. Although, they did say their report was confirmed by a high ranking pentagon official, which I found odd. Pretty crazy stuff

11. The New? What News?
Haven't you heard? The News have been canceled until further notice.

Look, they are all the same. Whether it's CBS, ABC, CNN, NBC, MSNBC, CNBC. They are all one version or another of FOX news...they just want you to think that they are different.

That's why when a poll question went up on DU earlier asking if Dems should stop going on Fox news....I was amused that the majority here, on DU, responded YES. WTF? Like the other channels are really any better. I don't think so. It's all the same, and none of them are there to bring you any of the information you want. They are there to brainwash Joe & Sue Couch Potato into submission of the New World Order of Corporatism.

I was also amused by a poll that showed that Democrats actually trust today's news channel more than the Republicans. SOoooo Democrats are the ones being fooled the most. Go figure!

It's all garbage. The news were canceled quite some time ago. If you want to know what is truly going on....as far as television goes...you're on your own. Learn to like it. It will be this way for quite some time...unfortunately.

Sometimes...when I go on this kind of rant, it makes me realize how truly f*cked we really are.

13. Read this from WaPo's Anne Applebaum, "Blaming the Messenger..."
defense, " just as they need to be very careful about what they do."

Now, it is possible that no interrogator at Guantanamo Bay ever flushed pages of the Koran down the toilet, as the now-retracted Newsweek story reported -- although several former Guantanamo detainees have alleged just that. It is also possible that Newsweek reporters relied too much on an uncertain source, or that the magazine confused the story with (confirmed) reports that prisoners themselves used Korans to block toilets as a form of protest.

But surely the larger point is not the story itself but that it was so eminently plausible, in Pakistan, Afghanistan and everywhere else. And it was plausible precisely because interrogation techniques designed to be offensive to Muslims were used in Iraq and Guantanamo, as administration and military officials have also confirmed.

<>Blaming the messenger, even for a bungled message, doesn't get the administration off the hook. Yes, to paraphrase Rumsfeld, people need to be very careful, not only about what they say but about what they do. And, yes, people whose military and diplomatic priorities include the defeat of Islamic fanaticism and the spread of democratic values in the Muslim world need to be very, very careful, not only about what they say but about what they do to the Muslims they hold in captivity.

14. Try Newshour on PBS
They had Galloway/Oil for Food coverage for the second day in a row, and a spot on the Filibuster/Judicial nominations tonight. Since it is a hour long, they give at least ten minutes to every topic they cover after they run through the headlines quickly at the beginning of the hour.
