Now he gets debated on the senate floor sometime after this filibuster ordeal.

2. Senator Boxer put a HOLD on his nomination

and it's not going anywhere until she removes that hold.

4. Boxer won't release the Hold

until the State Dept. releases docs the Dems requested for review. It's another type of filibuster.

5. the Dems are still trying to get that info on the intercepts

from the State Dept.

The State Dept won't give it to them. Their rep said they met in closed session with the Intelligence committee and that the Foreign relations committee should go to the Intelligence committe to request the information. The Intelligence committee hasn't responded to the Foreign Relations committee.

Frist could move this forward any time he wants, but he seems to be waiting until after tomorrow's mushroom cloud.
