3. They had a voice vote, she asked for a recorded vote, and it was
postponed or tabled.

:grr:

This is the most important issue of the moment. And they won't even discuss it.

4. So they are voting on the Stearns amendment now, does that
mean the Woolsey amendment will be voted on too?

5. no, I think they tabled Woolsey's. Probably won't get another
hearing until Americans scream for it.

I will be looking around to see what next steps are.

6. Same thing with the Davis amendment
" An amendment numbered 12 printed in House Report 109-96 to lift the current ban on privately funded abortions at U.S. military facilities overseas."

POSTPONED PROCEEDINGS - At the conclusion of debate on the Davis (CA) amendment, the Chair put the question on adoption of the amendment and by voice vote, announced that the noes had prevailed. Mrs. Davis (CA) demanded a recorded vote and the Chair postponed further proceedings until later in the legislative day.

This pisses me off more than I can say.

The Democrats are lucky to "be allowed" to even propose amendments let alone get a vote on them. It's so annoying that most people don't know how one-sided the House is. We know 'cause we're paying attention but most Americans don't. Sad.
