BREAKING NEWS United States to give Palestinians $50 million in direct aid
No link yet.

So we've got $50 million to give away, but we can't get armor on tanks in Iraq? Or we can't feed our own people starving in the streets here?

Bastards.

4. I don't think $50 mill. buys too much in the way of fighter planes anymore
I sooner think this money is to help offset expenses for Osama's suite at the Islamabad Hilton.

2. We gave Israel $477 million in cash ALONE last year.

Giving $50 million to the Palestinians isn't going to break the bank.

3. I know, but that's the overall point
Giving money away while our people are dying.

More Republican hypocrisy.

7. This is to offset what China did a few weeks ago
One of the big, underreported stories in recent weeks. I remember reading about it on some blog somewhere and now I can't find any details. But China and Palestine signed an economic agreement a few weeks back.

11. Pffft...that's not even 6 hours worth of money spent on Iraq
We're spending $215 million PER DAY in Iraq.

Look at http://www.costofwar.com and divide that by the # of days since March 19, 2003 and you'll see for yourself.
