A quote ..... by a republican saying that the election was fixed
And certainly not Republican Congressional Representative Peter King, who made an equally notable video statement on the afternoon of November 2nd, long before the polls closed, in the course of a White House function that seemed to have put him into a celebratory mood. "It's already over," he told the interviewer. "The election's over. We won." Asked how he knew at that early hour, King replied: "It's all over but the counting. And we'll take care of the counting."

1. I saw that video.
Incredibly incriminating.

However, I was under the impression it was made quite a while before the election -- possibly even for a different election.

Do you have a link?

3. The link is now dead but .....
...... King's remarks, recorded in Alex Pelosi's new film Diary of a Political Tourist, are quoted by Thom Hartmann in "Restoring Trust in the Vote," Common Dreams News Center (15 November 2004),

4. The statement was made, I believe, on
July 4, 2003 - not on the "afternoon of November 2nd".

5. Yeah, I just found a link on BradBlog...
http://www.bradblog.com/archives/00000913.htm

It says it was at a summer BBQ in 2003. Other links that have the video don't date it.

Of course -- still a whacked-out thing to say.

8. Keefer was wrong -
Edited on Sun Jun-12-05 01:43 PM by Internut
which makes one wonder what other facts he made up in that article.

He claims that Alex Pelosi's film "Diary of a Political Tourist" quotes Peter King on November 2nd, 2004 (see his reference <3>) in the article http://globalresearch.ca/articles/KEE501A.html

Yet it can be easily checked that Pelosi's film was aired on HBO in October, 2004. So either Pelosi owns a time machine, or Keefer made the date up. Which do you think is true?

7. How about the next election all voting electronics are built by Dem's??
Edited on Sun Jun-12-05 01:13 PM by OneTwentyoNine
Thats basically the opposite of what we have now, where literally all electronic voting is done through the machines of two companies, both heavily Republican--and aren't these two guys brothers??

Dem's in Congress need to GET OFF THEIR ASS and address this instead of wringing their hands and PRETENDING that no Republican would be sooooo low as to rig an election.
