that in the midst of indescribable chaos, he and the other pols are busy congratulating themselves on their leadership.

We're still waiting for leadership--maybe they define 'leader' differently, as in leading in campaign fundraising or something.

It's part of the responsibility of the job. Bush seems to think it's all prancing around in flight suits and giving huge tax cuts to his billionaire buddies.
