Monkey to Screech Today from WH Rose Garden at 10:20 AM EST: Topic is Iraq
CNN announced they will be broadcasting a live "statement" from the Chimp on Iraq and the War on Terror at 10:20AM EST from the Rose Garden. Does this mean he will be taking questions from the press? Don't know.

But I can guess he will tell Americans to "stay the course", "fight them there so we don't fight them here", and "not leave until we've planted our Freedom-Seeds" or some other shit like that.

How many folks here think that he will try to tie-in Katrina/Rita to the war on terror? Surely he will try to remind America that he is the original 9-11 gunslinger.

2. Rita/ Katrina tied to Terror will not happen
Putting those two together would remind Americans Bushco has done squat
since 911.

3. I dreamed last night...
...that Chimpy went on TV and declared that the Iraq war was over and we were pulling out. Cars were driving up our road honking their horns to celebrate.

5. He'd better say something significant this time
If it's just another "stay the course" speech, I sense a backlash from the MSM. After FEMA and the the corruption allegations, people are in no mood for rose-colored views on Iraq.

6. He will be ducking criticism from Katrina
Everything he does from now on will be to save his 'legacy'. It's all b.s. from now on. 24/7 save-yer-ass, blame game, photo op, PR, spin and lie. And nothing will help. I am officially changing my stance re: Dems boycotting hearings on Katrina. Yes, Repugs will be 'tough' on Brownie and others, but they will definitely shield the pigs at the top. I say, boycott until they allow INDEPENDANT investigation.

7. 10:20AM- Timed to distract from Gov. Blanco's Opening Statement?
Blanco will surely blast Michael Brown's Lie-o-Thon in her testimony this morning. Perhaps Prez Shit-Head wants to turn all eyes and ears away from that, which explains the timing of his "statement".

8. "not leave until we've planted our Freedom-Seeds"
   Is that something he actually said once, or did you make it up?

It sure sounds like an actual Stumblebum quote.

14. If he DOES take questions, maybe he'll call on the illusive "Bianca" again
With Gannon gone, he's really losing focus of who to call on...or who not.

When you begin seeing "Bianca's"...times are sad indeed. No doubt a rock concert flashback...

15. OK: here is what he's going to say -
1) he's going to warn about the upcoming elections in Iraq next month. He'll warn about spiraling violence - lots of it. He figures that if he warns us, we'll handle it better once it starts going out of control.

2) He'll tie Iraq with the "war on terror" and hope that we'll make the connection. He'll make some kind of reference to 9/11, but not much because everybody knows we're MUCH less safe with Bush at the wheel.

3) He won't make any references to the hurricanes. Why would he? His staggering incompetence was out there on display.
-----------------
Also, I think his caretakers are worried at this point. Anytime Bush gets out there, his numbers drop. It's been happening more and more. Any attempts at "fixing things" are highly dangerous because the American public obviously gets pissed off when they have to look at him.
They're walking a fine line, to be sure.
