And will shrubya then announce a new SCOTUS nominee to defuse the coverage?

1. Oh, they're definitely trying to deflect the Plamegate stuff.

So they trot out the Miers withdrawal. Too bad, missed opportunity to hide behind another story.

2. I'm hoping it's early
I'm on the West Coast so it will be nice to wake up tomorrow morning and see the announcements have already been made...so I don't have to spend all day refreshing my computer screen every 10 seconds. (Right now, it's every 15...lol).

Fitz is under no obligation to make his announcement at any given time, as long as it's "timely".

He's in control. Good for him. We can be patient -- the targets of his inquest are certainly not having an easy time of it, waiting to hear how the next three to ten years of their life will be conducted.
