AP's Fournier: Chimp won re-election "by a comfortable margin" ?!?
"Less than a year after winning re-election by a comfortable margin..."

It seems among all the other bars the GOP has lowered (especially basic COMPETENCE for holding various jobs), a "comfortable margin" is now a spurious gap of 2%? Aside from all the shenanigans and "irregularies" in the voting and tabulation processes, even IF one assumes the vote was accurate, it's "comfortable" now if you just win the popular vote?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051029/ap_on_go_pr_wh/bush_dark_days;_ylt=AoYb9mhibkKiYfW67RZIrP.s0NUE;_ylu=X3oDMTA3OXIzMDMzBHNlYwM3MDM-

Fournier goes on to mind-read ("Kerry would love to see Bush labeled a quick-to-yield politician") and ends with a note of optimism for the beleaguered WH ("The best thing about bad news is it might get better"). :eyes:

1. 2% which was probably achieved
through spoiling ballots, longer lines in bad weather for voters with less machines in Democratic neighborhoods, intimidation, and electronic tampering, i.e. total flipping in the central tabulator. I still find it very interesting that when we went to bed on 11/2/04, Kerry was the winner 51 to 48%. When we got up, the exact percentages were the same, only it had flipped to Bush 51 to 48%? Very suspicious.

What a load of shit. How do these spinners account for the fact that the majority of Americans cannot stand the Chimp? I would say probably because there was NO winning margin on the Chimp's ticket.

Not to mention, the Chimp may be heading for the same trouble as the rest of his corrupt crew!

2. And it wasn't by 2% nationwide.
It was 150k in one state, where the GAO has found claims to "irregularities" with voting machines to be well-founded.

3. This was the narrowest win since JFK, wasn't it?
Is there a site with facts on this?

5. It was the narrowest...
...margin of victory for a "re-elected" (ahem) president.

6. Besides...
...2000 was narrower than this one. I don't know about since JFK, though.

7. Substitute 'questionable' for 'comfortable' and you have a true statement
