The bacchnalian festival that the Republicans had been wallowing in for the last 24 hours, since the nomination of Alito, came to an abrupt end today. Harry Reid, the soft-spoken leader of the Democrats, lobbed a loud and vibrating shot across the heads of the power drunken Republicans and caused the Senate to come to a sudden and abrupt halt. With a seldom-used maneuver, he called for a secret session and every electronic gadget and Senator's aid was thrown out of the Senate, and the quiet leader called for a mano-to-mano talk with the sulking Republicans.
But there was more than one message that crashed the Republican's avaricious shindig. The other message was that they will respect the Democratic Party. Nobody is going to roll over and let them slobber over the children in the village. If they think they are going to shove a right-wing judge down our throats, then they better think again...
