1. Considering this was the guy ranting about the Black Power Structure
being responsible for the debacle in New Orleans, does it really matter what he says? It's not like he's a very reliable source of information.

3. He is often quite accurate.

He does have some blind spots, however. I don't think he experienced the 60's and 70's. He went from the 50's right into the 80's.

He is an old style Republican who does know how necessary the middle class is to the prosperity and security of this country. And he is not fond of George and his neocon and corporatist cronies.

4. He's also Opus Dei
He sure did miss all that sixties stuff!! He lives in a time warp.

You are right about his lack of love for the Monkey, and his philosophy. He is a TRUE conservative, not one of these crazy spending neos who wants to take over the world. His thing is secure borders, jobs for Americans, a strong middle class, and a bit of isolationism.

10. He's a conservative leaning moderate. The Conservatives have
always been John Birchers, Roy Cohns, Joe McCarthys, Pat Robertsons, Jerry Falwells, Whatever Dobsons, Alleluia Corporative Supremacy Types. Hate and Fear. They have always been and will always be the wingnuts of the Republican Party.

The last time the wingnut Conservatives came to power was in the 1950s, the Joe McCarthy era. And they left a scorched earth after them.

5. I've heard that, too, from different sources.
They're running scared from Bush's* unpopularity. They don't want to be paraded around as the idiot who's eventually going to lost to a Democratic incumbent.

7. that's cause they're all BROKE ...
... from giving all their money to George and Dick's campaign coffers for the last 6 years, trying to buy some no=bid contracts and other favorable legislation.

8. I saw this a while back on a Friday dump,
It seems Elizabeth Dole hasn't been doing her job of finding nice, new Young Democrats and now the states are having problems finding people to run....

9. I don't know if Dobbs said it,
but I know Jonathan Alter of Newsweek did. He said today on the Al Franken show that repugs are having a hard time recruiting & Dems are having an easy time.
