Howard Fineman on Hardball: Bush no longer seen as honest or competent
No longer seen as honest, primarily due to the CIA Leak Case. No longer seen as competent, primarily due to Katrina. "People will follow a strong leader, even if they disagree with his policies." Fineman basically said there is no "comeback" for Bush.

11. Bush could only be propped up this long
by "journalists" like Howie the Ho. What I wouldn't give for just ten minutes alone in a room with him and his ilk.

15. How was he EVER Seen as Competent?!!!
Maybe for a week after 9-11. But it's been one disaster after another since then. From Tora Bora on, everything he's touched has turned to shit!

What makes me so mad thinking back on last year's election is that it was abundantly clear that Bush's record was one of criminal incompetence and that it wasn't going to get any better. I can forgive a Bush 2000 voter. I have a hard time forgiving a Bush 2004 voter. I don't hate them - many are good friends of mine - but I just can't fathom in most of their cases how they could vote for him. Actually, one conservative friend of mine acknowledged that Bush was incompetent (he's never been thrilled by Bush) but said Kerry didn't convince him he wouldn't be better. Okay, whatever. What got me even more were largely liberal-leaning but apolitical friends who went back-and-forth and would listen intently when I ran through Bush's incompetence but after all that, went ahead and voted for him! Saying that "they trusted him to keep them safe"!

16. Even Before Bush....
ran for the presidency most of us here knew he was dishonest and certainly incompetant...I mean every business he had went down the toilet, insider trading, stadiumGate, funeralGate, etc....

Then the way he got into thr WH was the most dishonest way in the history of our country....

Fineman is an ass!!!

17. Fineman mouthed the same kind of junk about Gore and Kerry.
He's useless. Must be mad at the WH for something, like too little leaked info on double secret background with whipped cream and a cherry. He's sooooo useless.
