Anybody see Mary Mapes on Larry King??

She was great...but, now we have "the panel". She, of course, is not there to defend herself.....

It's really DISGUSTING!!! Michael Medved is on the panel...Gergen, and Lou Bacardi, retired AP etc. on the "review panel" who didn't like her comments about the panel.

Medved is making me sick, he's so upset about "bias" etc etc.

The panel has got more time than Mapes had!!!

Their Philosophy is: "Leave No Prisoners Left Standing or Behind to tell the Tale." I'd say...they are doing pretty good. Even David Gergen is piling on her.

Amazing! Yet, tomorrow night I'll bet Judy Miller is on and Larry and the rest will make her into a MARTYR for the PRESSITUTES (or Media Whores..which I prefer).

It's all disgusting...the spin and manipulation...isn't it. :-(

7. I have no idea why they presented it that way

I caught the end originally but just watched the full replay. Weird imbalance, first letting Mary Mapes speak mostly unopposed and with three straight calls supporting her, then the ridiculous panel bombarding the other direction and with critical callers. I hope Mary Mapes didn't request that format because it worked against her, no chance to defend plus you tend to remember and be impacted by what comes last, like the final 30 seconds of a boxing round. She did get a few more minutes total time, although I agree it didn't seem like it.

Tomorrow on Larry King: Judith Miller for the entire hour, apparently no panel. That should be charming.

8. I'll bet Larry plays up the "time in prison" angle...he had Martha Stewart

on after she was out (and her daughter on when she was in)...He'll probably ask Judy how the food was, what her prison job was, etc. He'll be entirely sympathetic and Judy will be able to spin the political angle...

Medved on a panel? Good God.

The question that was never asked of the panel: Do they have reason to believe that the story concerning Bush cheating on his military service is true? The story has been around for a long, long time.

Why didn't King ask them that? Why is it that the media chooses to focus on the story of the copied documents instead of whether or not the information about the service record is true? When a President sends our troops to war, his own service record, or lack of one, is fair game.

Today's "journalists" have sold their soul for a tax break and our country is paying and paying for their greed and laziness. A free press doesn't exist if no one is interested in getting at the truth.
