2. 53% for impeachment "if" bush lied ...
that means that if the 57% are right that bush misled us to war, and they are, 53% of the whole country would support impeaching him ...

the politics on this are fascinating ... i saw lying schmuck Dana Milbank say "of course impeachment isn't possible because republicans control the Congress" ...

first of all, they might not after 2006 ... who cool would that be?? ... bush wouldn't just cost them the Congress but he'd lose his own job too ...

but second, when the republican panic sets in, and it started for real last night, bush may not find quite as many friends on the Hill ... impeachment is a very real possibility; no one's afraid to try to kill an albatross ...

3. I have said that for some time now. Chumpy (*) is a political leper
or maybe now he is even "radioactive" politicians (Rethugs) included look after their own skin first...it's not a stretch to think at least some of them could change their minds and support impeachment IMHO.

4. Republicans were set to impeach Nixon. If they smell their own blood in
the water, they will knock each other down to jump ship and vote to impeach.

6. OR ...
i see two possibilities ...

if bush is still very low in the polls after the new year starts, we'll either see republicans jumping ship and pressuring him to resign or they'll call for impeachment hearings ...

Orrrrrrrrrrr .........

some will and some won't and the rift between the republican right and the republican center will kill them in the midterms ...

5. That's where the smart money is now. I'm hoping for a big ...
... bandwagon effect now that most people think Bush misled us.

8. How much higher must that number rise before we can impeach him?
I'm ready, and I'm sick of waiting.
