1. How can they know if Dems have a clear message if they don't listen?
That's what I'd like to know..

I'd say the clip was mostly bad for Bush and Cheney, but the last sentence that "40-something (whatever he said) % of people still don't think Democrats have a clear and precise message" was pure bunk.

:grr:

2. At this point, the appearance of normalcy apparently is all the message
that is needed....

3. Y'know... Russert could've worded that last sentence differently...
Instead of saying "40-something % of people don't think the Dem's have a clear and precise message yet"

He could've said "60% of people think the Democrats have a clear and precise message"

4. Dem message is ignored by the corporate media
So it's no wonder people don't think we have a message.
Zero liberal media leaves 100% Bushit media.

5. Russert is actually a Democrat
Tim Russert is one of those guys who tries so hard to keep his own personal biases in check that he ends up accidentally spinning for the other side at times.

Remember, Russert is a Democrat, from a blue-collar, union-friendly part of Buffalo. He worked for Sen. Pat Moynihan and as a speechwriter for Gov. Mario Cuomo.

Russert's heart is in the right place, but he tries so hard not to look like a Democrat, that he flys off the other edge.
