Clockwork Orange: HASTA LA VISTA, BABY!
HASTA LA VISTA, BABY!

(snip).

Here's Clockwork's advice on how those most gracious Democrats should respond to the contrite governor:

"Why would we listen to a loser? Let's be honest."

You'll recall exactly one year and four days before this most unnecessary and costly special election, at a news conference where the then high-riding Terminator was asked whether he would listen to tax-increase proposals from state Senate leader Don Perata or other Democratic leaders, Schwarzy said childishly, amid audible gasps from his trained handlers, "Why would I listen to losers? Let's be honest."

Perata (D-Oakland) was the one sounding honest and not at all smug in the wake of Schwarzy's stunning loss. "He got a lot of really bad advice," said a surprisingly somber and humble Perata, who figured that Schwarzenegger "sowed the seeds of his own demise" by taking on the full gamut of public workers, who make up more than half of the union members in California.

(snip)

Obviously, no one informed the -- loose term use alert -- "actor" that he was shooting blanks, that those extras were falling down on their own, that there is no such thing as droids. Or that resolutions to complex matters of state cannot be tidied up by one last action hero, before the end credits roll.

(snip)

(You'd never get that idea scrolling through the comments of freaks on the Free Republic chatbox. As you can see if you scroll down through the comments as the returns poured in, they mostly remained true believers to the end, although we did love the comment of one chagrined poster who agreed it's time to write off the Golden State for good and concentrate their energies elsewhere. Hey, don't let the You Are Now Leaving California sign hit you on the ass on the way out.) Douche.
