Fight GOP's Immoral Budget - Help Rescind Tax Cuts for RICH
Edited on Thu Nov-10-05 04:02 PM by texpatriot2004
NO SOCIAL SERVICE CUTS, RESCIND TAX CUTS TO THE WEALTHY INSTEAD

HOUSE STARTS VOTING TODAY ON BUDGET BILL(11/10)

This evening the House rules committee announced it was DROPPING the
planned invasion of the Arctic National Wildlife Reserve from their
version of the budget bill. You generated 12,000 submissions on that one
issue alone, which may well have turned the tide.

Now we have to do at least that well in challenging the immoral plan of
the right-wing tax cut maniacs to recoup SOME of the money for even
further unconscionable gifts to their most wealthy cronies. With
supporters of the president's greed agenda dropping like flies in last
Tuesday's election, there is a REAL opportunity for major policy change if we
speak out now, especially with all members of the House up for
re-election in just one year.

social services)

It is scandalous that a regime that claims to draw its mandate from
followers of Jesus Christ would propose to take food from the hungry,
steal medicine from the sick, and rob clothing intended for those who are
already naked. It is time that our policy decisions represented the
true values of the people of faith they like so much to take for granted,
while this administration's actions reflect the exact opposite.
Indeed, people of all faiths stand for social compassion. It is time to END
the national nightmare of train wreck budget deficits, and again
require the most fortunate to pay their fair and rightful share.

ACTION PAGE: http://www.millionphonemarch.com/no_cruelty.htm (Save our
social services)

With the proven power of your activism we can restore fiscal sanity,
pull our economy out of the ditch of supply side hucksterism, and get it
back on the road to sound and prudent social justice. The United
States of America will not be a dictated by the culture of CRUELTY. Won't
you take this opportunity to send your personal message to all your
members of Congress, and you can make it a Letter to the Editor of your
nearest daily newspaper at the same time, all with one click.

Please take action NOW, so we can win all victories that are supposed
to be ours, and forward this message to everyone else you know.

PLEASE KEEP THIS KICKED

9. I saw that. It's great. I think we should keep up the pressure on
this issue though. We should be loud and make it clear that we are against this immoral budget.

8. Here's what I sent
I believe that it is scandalous that the GOP who claims to draw its mandate, a "moral" mandate and a "Christian" mandate, from the followers of Jesus Christ would propose such an IMMORAL BUDGET THAT BLATANTLY CONTRADICTS TRUE CHRISTIAN VALUES AND THE HOLY BIBLE. To take food from the hungry, steal medicine from the sick, and rob clothing intended for those who are already naked while GIVING to the RICH, the WEALTHIEST in this country. I remind you that Jesus Christ said, "when you do it unto the least of these you do it unto me."

It is time that our policy decisions represented the true values of the people of faith that the GOP likes to take for granted and claim to represent, while the Bush administration's actions reflect the exact opposite. Indeed, people of all faiths stand for social compassion. It is time to END the national nightmare of train wreck budget deficits, and again require the most fortunate to pay their fair and rightful share. It is time to REPEAL Bush's TAX CUTS FOR THE WEALTHIEST PEOPLE IN America. It is high time that the Bush administration and the ROTTEN REPUBLICANS who BLINDLY support it STOP NEGLECTING THEIR DUTY OF OVERSIGHT AND OF REPRESENTING ALL AMERICANS. REPEAL THE TAX CUTS. CREATE A MORAL BUDGET THAT IS BALANCED. STOP THE CORPORATE WELFARE. STOP GIVING TO THE WEALTHY AND ROBBING THE POOR AND THE MIDDLE CLASS. STOP THE INSANITY NOW.

11. Damn Straight
I'm sorry, but if I have to choose between some old lady paying her heat bill and Paris Hilton getting a little extra money to buy a new Mercedes or to buy a phony Kaballah wristband I'm not exactly feeling French if you know what I mean.

Sorry Paris, but I think that Beemer you bought last year is still working quite well. Too bad, it doesn't come with Kaballah blessed mineral water like the new Beemer does. I guess we'll just have to wait till next year or cut back on the club allowance!! Whine whine, boo hoo.

My God, I feel so sorry for her - she actually won't be able to get her way for once, the spoiled little bitch. :P
