With the fresh guilty plea from Duke Cunningham today, the WaPo is reporting how “corporations and other wealthy interests have made ever-larger campaign contributions, gifts and sponsored trips part of the culture of Capitol Hill.” Please… Let’s call it what it is, the Culture of Corruption - Republican Style.

…the commingling of money and politics has gone too far.

After years in which big-dollar dealings have come to dominate the interaction between lobbyists and lawmakers, both sides are now facing what could be a wave of prosecutions in the courts and an uprising at the ballot box. Extreme examples of the new business-as-usual are no longer tolerated.

will show up on TV, have their Tammy Faye Baker moment, find Jesus and get a talk radio show. Who knows they may even get a spot Ollie North's show, like a side-kick or something.

They were nearly as corrupt as the pukes when they were in power for decades.

It's the FACT that the money donated by corporations for campaigns CORRUPTS our nascent democracy. PUBLIC financing of campaigns is the ONLY cure!
