FOOL ME ONCE!
"Fool me once, shame on - shame on you. Fool me - you can't get fooled again"

I guess that proves chimpy liked the Who in his
Coke and boozin days!

4. Mark Crispin Miller has an amazing and eye opening explanation for this...
Edited on Sat Dec-03-05 12:04 AM by feelthebreeze
moment. It is fully explored in his magnificent video "A Patriot Act".
It is not so much that the creep is a walking nightmare of stupidity, but rather it illustrates denial of accepting any blame for an act. It is the phrase "Shame on Me" that is the crux of this bizarre stammering speech. You can watch it unfold as he sees that upcoming phrase and is unable to voice it. I do not do honor to Mr. Miller's exquisite insight into this man's psychosis, but it is apparent once you understand it. Miller asks the question "Is this funny?" and the answer is of course... No.

5. That does make sense
one of my favourite traits in people is the ability to say, "I was wrong. I'm sorry". * has clearly never had to say this in his life.

7. That's a very interesting thought.
And maybe right as Junior was about to say the words "shame on me", suddenly KARL appeared at his left shoulder, and he could almost hear Karl saying, "Don't EVER use a phrase which can be isolated and presented in a campaign ad against you"?

Sort of like DeLay wanted to pretend to be all shiny and smiling for his mugshot? He said he didn't want it to be used in opposition campaign ads. (Although, I think it's quite ugly enough to make a good opposition ad...)

9. Too bad the American electorate was fooled again.
That is one hilarious clip when Bush made that gaffe.

11. * thinks he'll implode, disintegrate and be
met with a horde of cloned mummy babs screamin' at him if he says anything resembling that it was his fault, ie shame on me.

Reminds me of one of the bits from either TDS or Colbert Report:

It was described how "Brownie" testified before Congress in what was a massive "You-a culpa," in which he blamed everyone else.

In the first 4 year fiasco aka term, it was amazing to see this crowd who have the power of the nation. They didn't respond to issues, to claims about their own wrongdoing, but instead denied all and attacked the messenger. At first it struck me as incredibly nervy and arrogant.

It was amazing, when it was new.

Now it is just boring, sickening, and revolting.

Don't link the best rock band and the chimp.

Damnit.

I have a 24-year-old crush on Pete Townshend.

13. "No one knows what it's like to be lonely..."
"No one knows what it's like to be the bad man...telling only lies...

but my dreams they aren't as empty, as my conscience seems to be..."

Haunting lyrics from Peter Townshend.

I really like The Who too.

14. "Behind Blue Eyes" complete lyrics
Behind Blue Eyes

No one knows what it's like
To be the bad man
To be the sad man
Behind blue eyes
No one knows what it's like
To be hated
To be fated
To telling only lies

But my dreams
They aren't as empty
As my conscience seems to be

I have hours, only lonely
My love is vengeance
That's never free

No one knows what it's like
To feel these feelings
Like I do
And I blame you

No one bites back as hard
On their anger
None of my pain and woe
Can show through

But my dreams
They aren't as empty
As my conscience seems to be

I have hours, only lonely
My love is vengeance
That's never free

When my fist clenches, crack it open
Before I use it and lose my cool
When I smile, tell me some bad news
Before I laugh and act like a fool

If I swallow anything evil
Put your finger down my throat
If I shiver, please give me a blanket
Keep me warm, let me wear your coat

No one knows what it's like
To be the bad man
To be the sad man
Behind blue eyes
