Figures that he's a Republican
Edited on Fri Dec-30-05 03:53 PM by terrya
Is there even a chance in hell that the residents of New York State could actually elect this ego driven buffoon?

ALBANY, N.Y. - Could Donald Trump's next big project be political?

The New York Daily News, citing unnamed Republicans, reported Friday that Trump, the billionaire real estate developer and TV personality, is considering a run for governor as a Republican.

The report came after Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno on Thursday suggested a big-name candidate could be waiting in the wings to enter the 2006 governor's race on the GOP side.

"When it gets public, you are all going to become excited, interested, and will want to write about it," Bruno said.

Bruno, however, wouldn't name the mystery office seeker and Trump's office in New York had no immediate comment. State GOP Executive Director Ryan Moses said neither he nor state party Chairman Stephen Minarik have had any discussions with Trump about running.

1. He would get creamed...
The guy is a buffoon...in any really serious discussion about anything he would get blown away. New Yorkers are not that stupid.

3. I can't stand the follicle challenged egomaniac jerkoff but
listening to The Chump on Imus in the mornings he is pretty critical of Chucklenuts. The Chump is making the classical (albeit rethuglican habit) of believing his own PR machine press releases. He actually thinks people are impressed by him and/or actually like him. He is a three ring circus of self promotion. Let him run, nothing is more fun than watching a repug with too much money blow it on a political campaign.

2. No chance
Unless the fix is in with the new electronic voting machines we're getting next year. I think it's not cuz of the way the party is scrambling for someone, anyone to run against Spitzer. If they really thought they had a chance of keeping the mansion, they'd bring somebody up from the party rather than trolling for the likes of Golisano or Trump.

4. when did this happen? trump has long been a democrat
if for no other reason than that it's bad business for any real estate developer to not be a democrat in manhattan.
his father was also well connected in brooklyn democratic politics.

As for the presidential election, he thinks it will be a real dog fight. He won't say who he endorses, but he gave a hint when he said: "I know John Kerry and he's a good man." Trump also noted that he's a registered Democrat, which he says surprises a lot of people. It sure surprised me.
