Is there a de-bunk for Clinton missed getting Bin Laden?
"a foreign government offering up the head of Bin Laden to the US if they just sent a plane to snuff and/or capture him. "

2. Al Franken says that the guy Clinton would have had to try
to make the deal with was a war criminal who couldn't be trusted.

3. Why would anyone care?
That was years ago. That issue has been addressed a million times. Do a Google.

Better question, why did W go after Iraq and Saddam rather than OBL? Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11.

6. yeah, it's the 'everything's Clinton's fault' excuse........
........they use it for everything despite the fact that their guy has been in charge for 5 yrs!

I've heard this one before too. I don't actually have any articles for you but I recall I heard Madeleine Albright say that they wanted to get bin laden but there were too many logistical challenges which would not have been worth it at the time.

I know Bill Maher interviewed her once on Real Time. Let me check my tapes and if I find a better quote, I'll let you know.

14. We call it the "BBC" mentality: Blame Bill Clinton
It's easier to say. We use it as shorthand for the bull that the RW says.

7. Bin Laden and the current President/Dictator of Sudan
were business partners. This was at the same time as the embassy bombings in Africa which Bin Laden was behind. The UN were threatening sanctions against Sudan unless they expelled or turned over Bin Laden. After the UN enacted sanctions Bin Laden did pack up and leave under preasure and ended in with the Taliban. Clinton at this time also bombed a Bin Laden "Pharmacy" where he was making chemicals. The then president of Sudan then offered up Bin Laden without the intention of following through in a ruse to get the sanctions lifted.

Clinton did not have the oppurtunity to get Bin Laden it was a trick.

8. Reich-wing revisionist history.
This bogus claim has been repeated so many times, it has become genuine reich-wing history. It goes something like this: President Clinton was offered Bin Laden's head on a platter three times and each time Clinton refused.

Here's just one debunk http://mediamatters.org/items/200407230005

The reich-wing are LIARS... all the time, every time.

11. Even if the lie about Clinton was true
How does that excuse Bush, who promised that he would deliver Osama dead or alive?

I haven't seen any pictures of Osama's dead body yet and I haven't seen any pistures of him in leg irons, so I am assuming that Bush has failed to live up to his promise.

12. So Bush captured Bin Laden immediately
showing how easy it would be if you had the proper spirit and determination.

right?

If it's Clinton's fault that he did not catch Bin Laden, then what's Bush's excuse?

15. The point then would be:
If CLINTON was supposed to have gone after O B-L, with NO provocation, mind you, why then didn't Buschco ASAP??
IOW, if O B-L should have been hunted, then Bushco should have been after him on January 21, 2001. WHY WAIT??
WHY IGNORE that PDB "Bin-Laden Determined to Strike Inside the U.S."??

No, Bush cultists can't simultaneously blame Clinton and then EXCUSE the 9-month non-action of Bush!
So just say: "Why didn't Bush act between January to September, 2001??"

They'll have no answer, trust me.

17. Most of the Freeper claims are based upon Mansoor Ijaz's word
re: bin Laden in Sudan.

Mansoor Ijaz soon thereafter became an analyst for FOX News.

'nuff said?
