This week began with the holiday for Dr. Martin Luther King. We did this tribute, using a lesser known quote from Dr. King's 1963 I HAVE A DREAM speech in Washington, D.C.


Tuesday we imagined the press conference Bush should have given regarding the bombing of a village in Pakistan which resulted in the deaths of about a dozen women and children. The preceding Friday, with typical fanfare and braggadocio, they had announced they might have gotten Al-Qaeda's number two man.


Wednesday, as the news sunk in that they probably hadn't gotten al-zawahiri, but might have gotten some "senior Al-Qaeda members," (aren't they all at press release time?) we opted for a return to Jeopardy.


Thursday, we concluded our trilogy on the connection between the administration's contrived news making, the bombing in Pakistan, and the never ending announcements that they "got" Al-Qaeda's number two, yet again.


Friday we segued from the Thursday White House session with Bush and Rove to the question on everyone's mind, following Brokeback Mt.'s resounding success, as we visit Bushback Mt.

I had lunch with an old friend today.

We served in Vietnam together, and, like John Kerry, came home to fight against the reelection of Richard Dickhouse Nixon.

We hadn't talked in five years, so it was good to spend a couple of hours talking about how much worse Bush is than Nixon.

11. We knew the ones on the bombing in Pakistan wouldn't be funny.

But we felt they needed to be said.

I know there is the possibility there actually might have been some AQ connected types killed, but we know for a fact a dozen innocents died.

Too many people are too kill-happy under the Bush Reign of Error.

Of course, it's the Bush-Rove political relationship to which we allude.
