BLM proposes more "exclusions"
www.wilderness-sportsman.com

A number of activities on public lands now subject to environmental study and public comment would be exempted under a new proposal from the Bureau of Land Management.

In the name of increased efficiency, the BLM is proposing a number of new "categorical exclusions" to the National Environmental Policy Act, prompting cheers from the extractive industries and groans from conservation groups.

Published Wednesday in the Federal Register is a proposed revision to the BLM’s procedures for managing the NEPA process.

The wilderness sportsman is the only public land site that offers nationwide public land news stories *every day* . California's outdoor news site charges a fee and it's outdated. The whole point of the wilderness-sportsman is to provide up to date outdoor news daily. No one else does that for all the public lands in the nation. If interested in public land news,it's in your best interest to visit the site. Also, the site has every national forest directly linked, and every major national park linked. The news section has an "action list" at the top of the stories with immediate links to national forests, national park, BLM and congress contact lists for instant communication over stories you agree/disagree with. That's why people should visit the site. Read an article, get upset(or offer praise), then give your two cents to the government agency involved. If I just posted the link, all the buttons would not be there to push if you wanted to push them.

Crooks and Liars doesn't post link's directly either.

But since you asked:

4. Thank you and Montana.

I'm surprised it took the Admin this long to jump the BLM.
