Where do the repugs get these amoral thugs?
Edited on Wed Feb-08-06 12:46 PM by Botany
Sorry to be such a long post but I have to RANT
When is his faith based supporters going to realize that he is a fake and snake oil salesman?
Bush has taken out a 2nd mortgage on the USA from Red China & Saudi Arabia and has surrounded himself
with some of the lowest of the low. I swear does Karl Rove got to college republican meetings and torture
puppies & kittens in front of selected persons and those that smile get taken into the "Family Business."

Examples:

1. 24 yr old NASA kid helping to silence global warming - LIAR

"Through my own investigations I have just discovered that George Deutsch, the Bush political appointee at the heart of administration efforts to censor NASA scientists (most notably to prevent James Hansen from speaking out about global warming), did not actually graduate from Texas A&M University. This should come as a surprise, since the media has implied otherwise, with even The New York Times describing the 24-year-old NASA public affairs officer, as “a 2003 journalism graduate of Texas A&M.” Although Deutsch did attend Texas A&M University, where he majored in journalism and was scheduled to graduate in 2003, he left in 2004 without a degree, a revelation that I was tipped off to by one of his former coworkers at A&M's student newspaper The Battalion. I later confirmed this discovery through the records department of the Texas A&M University Association of Former Students."

2. Christian Bailey (not his real name) and the Lincoln Group Money laundering and buying P.R. in Iraq

The Lincoln Group's Washington, DC headquarters, which is now located on K Street, is "soon to move to larger quarters in the Pennsylvania Avenue building that housed Jack Abramoff's famous restaurant, Signatures," Justin Fox, reported in the January 20, 2006, online edition of Fortune magazine.

"The firm says it has entered into more than 20 Defense Department contracts (the biggest of which could be worth as much as $100 million) and a similar number of commercial and nonmilitary government deals. It has more than 40 employees in the U.S. and 200 overseas, mostly in Iraq, doing research, communications, and even some investing," Fox wrote.

In the fall of 2004, Christian Bailey had formed a Lincoln subsidiary, called Iraqex. The Independent reported in December 2005 that Iraqex "seems to have formed a partnership with another American PR firm called Rendon, famous in Washington for having promoted Ahmed Chalabi and his Iraqi National Congress." <6>

According to a December 11, 2005 New York Times article, Iraqex's "stated purpose was to provide support services for business development, trade and investment in Iraq. The company's earliest ventures there included providing security to the military and renovating buildings. Iraqex also started a short-lived online business publication." The Times also reported on the 2004 partnership between Iraqex and Rendon. Together they "won a $5 million Pentagon contract for an advertising and public relations campaign to 'accurately inform the Iraqi people of the Coalition's goals and gain their support.' Soon, the changed its name to Lincoln Group. It is not clear how the partnership was formed; Rendon dropped out weeks after the contract was awarded," the Times wrote.

In September 2004, "Christian Bailey, an executive at Iraqex/Lincoln, told O'Dwyer's his company established four offices in Baghdad and other outposts, including an additional operation in Basra. He said Iraqex began handling PR work for private entities in sectors like manufacturing and finance within the country last year and has established close ties with 300-400 members of the Iraqi media."

BTW the Lincoln group used to be next door to PNAC/AEI

3. Scott McCellen

QUESTION: Has the President either asked Karl Rove to assure him that he had nothing to do with this; or did Karl Rove go to the President to assure him that he . . .
McCLELLAN: I don't think he needs that. I think I've spoken clearly to this publicly . . . I've just said there's no truth to it.

QUESTION: Yes, but I'm just wondering if there was a conversation between Karl Rove and the President, or if he just talked to you, and you're here at this . . .

McCLELLAN: He wasn't involved. The President knows he wasn't involved.

4. John Bolton forced his 1st wife into group sex

May 11-LOS ANGELES-Court records concerning the divorce of John R. Bolton, the Bush administration's nominee to become the next ambassador to the United Nations, show his first wife fled the couple's marital home when he was traveling abroad in mid-August 1982. The records further show that she took most of the couple's furniture.

Corroborated allegations that Mr. Bolton's first wife, Christina Bolton, was forced to engage in group sex have not been refuted by the State Department despite inquires posed by Hustler magazine publisher Larry Flynt concerning the allegations. Mr. Flynt has obtained information from numerous sources that Mr. Bolton participated in paid visits to Plato's Retreat, the popular swingers club that operated in New York City in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

http://www.larryflynt.com/bolton/ funny, these people make Larry Flint look good.

5. The Saudis & al Qaeda
If you can find a picture from *'s state of the union address. Sitting real close to Laura was the husband of
the women who wrote checks to 2 of the 19 hijackers as they were living in San Diego. One of the paymasters
for 9-11 is sitting with Mrs. Bush?

don't forget Chalibi in 03

2. My husband has been talking to some fundamentalists
who have changed their attitudes towards the Bush administration. In at least one case, a lady cited Biblical sources that proved that Bush is the anti-Christ. He was listening to NPR on our mountain, and when he moved to work on another place on the mountain, a Christian station bled through. They were talking about "Loose Change" and how Bush MIHOP-he stayed still long enough to verify that the station was doing this and not ridiculing the film. So perhaps, slowly but surely, the tide is turning among some that Bush counts as his "base".

5. I don't look at it that way
remember that Bush and his ilk call these same folk loonies and talk about how they use them for their own political ends. The fact that these people are now realizing they are being used means they will not vote repuke in 2006. We have a chance of getting them to wake up even more and start realizing that not only the repukes but also people like Robertson are using them as well.

7. They don't think they've been used...
they think the ANTI-CHRIST is running things!
Well, I guess a vote is a vote.
But I don't think we should appease the endtimers AT ALL.

8. there's a difference between end timers and fundies
both are around here. The end timers live by themselves in their own compound, and don't talk with the likes of me. :) The fundies run the gamut from those who simply go to church to those who spew out hatred. The ones I was talking about are the milder ones.

think the Rapture is gonna happen this year. The other fundies just say "sometime", and aren't as much into that aspect of their faith.
