3. Local news just interviewed longshoremen in Beaumont, TX.
Apparently the majority of military stuff goes through there, and the longshoremen are very unhappy about the prospects. This ain't over yet, despite which way the repugs go.

5. People are waking up.
(And their damned tired of him and his one, stupid speechification. It's time for the Chimperor to look for another venture. I'm thinking 'bout a hot dog stand. A small one, at that.)

9. Wouldn't it be great if...
...the Bush motorcade pulled up alongside the crowd in those photos, and he got out...walked to the front, grabbed a microphone, answered any and all questions, and stayed until everyone had a chance to say what was on their minds.

Didn't smirk, didn't challenge anyone's opinion, just listened and responded and thanked people for being open and honest with him.

No pre-screenings, no pre-signed loyalty oaths, no questions that began with ten minutes of thanking him for being a great president.

Just the people you see in those photos, the ones holding those signs.

Whooops...wrong president.

14. What is wrong with the skin on this man's face? The red splotch on the
bridge of his nose has been there for some time, but what is that red on his chin, left cheek, just over his upper lip, the dark splotch on the right cheek, and the lumpy discolorations on his forehead?

What would cause this? And is it all over his body or just his face?

11. CBS news covered a port in Texas, I believe it was in Beaumont
Edited on Fri Feb-24-06 07:34 PM by PA Democrat
and said that its cargo is largely military. I guess that a lot of the equipment that was shipped to the Middle East for the Afghan and Iraq wars was shipped out of this port. The question is whether it's a good idea for a foreign government to know about your military shipments.

Edited to remove unnecessary apostrophe.

12. And finally we have the real issue. Globalization.
Corporate America has outsourced almost all our good jobs, NOW * is further outsourcing our security jobs. This is not new. Apparently the English have had this job for years now and it is an off-shore company that is supposed to protect our airports and that is probably just the tip of the iceberg. Maybe this is the issue we need to use to take a stand on safety/renewable energy/jobs for Americans. Support our unions in their fight against the selling of America which has been going on since ron rayguns day.

15. There's an uprising in America over this
Even among Bush supporters. I want to believe this will make an impact on America of Bush's concern for our safety...but I'm not holding my breath.
