Our President made Love; Your President made War
both lied, but guess what...no one died because of our President's lie.

Gloria Steinman was on Bill Maher and that is what she said - the subject line - she followed it with "and our President knows the difference"

2. My thoughts exactly.....
Let's not glamorize Clinton's escapade.

3. Do we have to be so literal? Besides, how do you know that Clinton
didn't do "the deed", I mean, this wasn't the 1st and only time that he strayed?

7. None of our business.
Who cares? Outside of his wife and daughter. I'm sorry, but I just don't go for this hammering of the man for a private, consensual sex act. From what I read, Monica received pleasure from Clinton during these episodes. Indeed, wasn't that one of the points the other side made about "touching meant to arouse the partner" or something like that?

This was not something any of us needed to know about. As far as I was concerned I voted for Bill Clinton to be my president, not my husband. If he had been my husband, it would be a different story. But I didn't marry him, I voted for him for President. Big difference. Can't we all grow up?

9. I agree, it was not necessary to make it an issue
and spending $70 million ? prosecuting the man for a blow job was an insane waste of taxpayer dollars. I am grown up, try not to be so insulting.
P.S. I voted for him too. Damn fine president. Wish he had kept it in his pants. We wouldn't have the moron in charge now.

11. Sorry, wasn't meaning to insult anyone.
I am not so sure we lost the election over the sex with Monica. We "lost" by 5 votes.

12. I think Gore was too afraid of the issue to make use of Clinton's appeal.
He distanced himself and that was a problem. But really, in the end, Gore lost because the election results in Florida were tampered with.

4. Not glamor. Just what happened.
The difference between a crime and a victimless crime (even tho the BJ was not a crime).

5. I'll go further than that.
The government actually worked fairly well under our President. Your President has almost completely obliterated it.

Katrina would never have been the disaster it was if our President had been in office. And the combination of refusal to help the surviving citizens to recover their lives and white collar looting of New Orleans real estate would not have happened.

8. Yes, I have been thinking about Clinton since Katrina
and how government under him really worked for people.

We've got to get over our national paranoia or whatever it is, about sex. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

10. I heard it too. And applauded.
I thought she said
I'd rather have a President that makes love
than a President that makes war.

Whatever way she said it - It was great.
Also liked Maher's comment about Iraq being like a Wasps nest, and Bsh hit it with a stick.

Good show this week.
oh yeah - the EPT was hilarious.

17. It could have been that and if not that sounds better anyway.
Alzheimer's is setting in unfortunately. I don't know why I cannot remember things like I used to, pisses me off!

Maher's bearded friend STILL sides with Bushco on the war? How could anybody with any part of functioning brain left still think that?

Maher seemed to like Gloria though. I thought I saw him "gazing" her way more than once.

18. I noticed that too.
A little flirtation between Maher and Gloria.

I think she enjoyed it, being the older woman. BUT I can't imagine
anything going on there.
