1. Let's hope it continues trending this way . . .
The only way to win this one is if the gap in November is so huge that when Blackwell's minions come to "adjust" the vote, they can't make it credible to the electorate or the press. I'm thinking a 10-15 point difference is crucial, or it'll be 2004 all over again.

2. Yup; I'm thinking a comfortable 10 pt. margin in the exit polls
is the least any Democrat can have to assure a win, and I'm not one of the fixed election fans on DU.

Yup, I said the EXIT polls.

Where did my government go so horribly wrong?

3. Now wait a minute . . .
Surely you realize that as of October 26, 2004 (when, presumably, the earth's magnetic pole changed position, permanently affecting cognitive processing in human beings) exit polls suddenly ceased being reliable? Mysteriously, the same electromagnetic anomaly actually increased the accuracy (or at least "effectiveness") of electronically-processed vote tabulations carried out by Diebold and Sequoia hardware, meaning that without these technologies, we'll never get the "right" results ever again.

6. Not shouting to the heavens until this election is OVER.
I don't believe pre-polls or exit polls, I want final results. And those final results better NOT have that bible-thumping wackjob Crackwell as the new Governor. Until Ohioans start getting smarter and say "NO" to Shitpublicans, as they haven't been doing for decades while the state went to complete shit, I remain pessimistic. I can take comfort with these numbers that an election steal would almost assure that he and his minions get caught. That's too big a deficit to make up.

7. Growing lead?
Why would you enjoy growing lead? Wouldn't you rather grow gold instead?

(sorry, was a classic ambiguous headline that I just had to poke fun at)

8. My brother-in-law is working on the Blackwell campaign...
We can't afford to get complacent about these leads. Blackwell is still courting fundies in Ohio (VERY successfully).

I think it's going to be a closer race than early polls suggest.
