1. I heard the other day that after the open session it'll be closed
I don't have a real problem with that. As long as at least one round is done in the open.

2. Not quite.
They will have the open hearings as scheduled. The first 1/2 hour will air on cspan1, and then switch to cspan3 at 10AM when the House is called to order.

What you heard was Robertson saying that some members said they would not be allowed to ask all their questions because of the sensitive info involved. Rest assured, all members will be permitted to ask any question they wish "in a closed session AFTER this hearing concludes."

4. Moving it to cspan3 will keep many viewers away. Not all have 3. nt

9. I know, but cspan has a contract that they will aalways air the House
on cspan1 and the Senate on cspan2 when they are in session. I don't know why most cable companies don't carry cspan3. I watch it on my computer.

11. Ahhhh! I didn't know that! Damn. I hope the prices of the digital
TV's come down FAST! I noticed some darkening in the top corners of my current TV, and I'm thinkin I'm going to have to get a new one in the forseeable future!

3. Look at it this way:
In the closed session, they will REALLY tear his tiny ass up.

5. Perfectly understandable, really...
They're talking to the ex-head of the NSA, who's up for the job of CIA Director. I think it's reasonable that more than a few questions would have to be asked behind closed doors, yeah?

8. These "open" hearings are all a facade...
The people are given nothing. The little clique believes themselves in control of information that cannot be shared with anyone else, because they are very important people. So they will discuss between themselves behind "closed" doors and we will never know anything they have discussed. It's a facade of being a democracy.
