Arianna on Panel 1 Kos Convention. Bloggers must not support a candidate
who is not clear on Iraq. "The Jack Murtha position is the clear, unequivocal position." Arianna is very pleased Murtha is going to run for Majority Leader, if we take back the House.

She also says don't work for Hillary Clinton whose position is the same as Bush's--we will stand down when the Iraqis stand up.

1. I agree, and not just on Iraq. This should also cover our entire
foreign policy. Our meddling in developing nations needs to be stopped and the biggest recipients of our foreign aid shouldn't be Egypt and Israel.

2. Didn't they pass a law making it illegal for blogs to support a candidate?
Seems like that was one of those "under the radar" votes. Maybe I'm wrong though.

5. Jerome Armstrong, mydd blog, and co-author of "Crashing the Gates"
with Markos is a paid adviser for Mark Warner.

8. Armstrong took leave of his blog
while working for the campaign - he is not doing both.

10. Exactly.
There are victims of banishment from his blog for questioning early on, but he did the right thing about it. Too bad there is no forgiveness for people like a friend of mine who was banned.

I think they should disclose. Jerome has done the right thing.

11. Did you hear Kos say yesterday he was "not quite ready to endorse Warner,
even though "Jerome really, really, wants me to get behind him."

This was not on C-Span, heard it on AAR's coverage of the Kos Convention. Markos introduced Mark Warner.

4. Out of curiousity, since when does Arianna run the party?
Edited on Sat Jun-10-06 02:27 PM by TheWraith
For that matter, since when has she done anything productive for our side? From my perspective, she seems to mainly sit back and talk about how Democrats should act. I wonder, does she really think that in any district where a complete anti-war stance wouldn't play, we should just hand it to the Republicans? Or is this just a popularity-building exercise for her?

6. No one said she "ran the party." Murtha is a conservative and leader of
Dem party when it comes to Iraq. More Dems should support Murtha's principled position. We know most people in this country now think the Iraq war was a mistake, yet most of the establish Dems cower on this issue and try to distance themselves from Murtha.

Arianna is right on this issue. War in Iraq not playing so well in most "red states." Utah is the #1 exception. They still love Dubya.

9. Since when does Arianna get to dictate what every single blogger must do.
Edited on Sat Jun-10-06 03:48 PM by Mass
She is welcome to say what she thinks, but she is not the guru of the entire blogosphere.

12. Has anyone put up video of the conferences?
I saw Markos' speech, but not much else. I'm especially interested in the Plame panel.
