Move over Bush Twins - here comes the Bilbray kids
http://www.wonkette.com/politics/brian-bilbray/brian-bilbrays-kids-love-social-networking-natty-light-181733.php

WOWZA - these two make Jenna & Babs look like a bunch of convent school innocents. I guess Wonkette has tracked down the MySpace of Patrick & Briana (age 19) Bilbray - children of newly elected Brian Bilbray of CA-50. I guess Bilbray was too busy mudslinging Francine Busby to bother to see what his kids are up to.

Family Values at their best!

Photobucket, yo.

But I haven't seen evidence of cigarettes. A dude can't be tough enuff to hang wit' da homiez if he don't schmolk. And even if she's like a major hottie on wheels, a girl can't be a proper slut without a cigarette, yo. Like, Barb and Jenna were totally-ass lame until they started schmolkin'.

Like, okay, an arrest or two would help.

Yeah, I used to live in the ghetto. Before it was a fashion statement. Like, when it was for poor people. And I didn't call my neighbors "ma homeys". I called them Mr. and Mrs. Howard. They were in their 70s and might have thought "homey" was an adjective.

7. Anyone happen to notice the gesture of one person in the second
photo down. The group photo. One girl has her hand up with the index, middle, and pinky fingers up and the ring finger down. I will spare DUers the gory details of what this is supposed to mean, since many may know already. To those that do not know, let's just say you should never, ever confuse it with a peace sign.

The definition of republican family values: the price that would be paid for a spouse, son, or daughter on an open market preferably expressed in terms of American dollars.

Do you suppose that Bilbray's son or daugthers have taken the "Not Before Marriage Pledge"? Somehow I doubt it.

9. The 5th pic down got me wondering...
so I read some of the comments on Briana's page.

mel2thaissa 5/25/2006 9:14 PM

"i need you to come home and make me happy down stairs, wink wink"

mel2thaissa describes herself as a 14 year old female. That would be just too perfect.

10. Sorry, but I don't think this is funny
College kids post pictures of themselves drinking on myspace and facebook all of the time and Jenna and Babs didn't choose to have their dad be in politics.

As far as I'm concerned, unless the kids choose to enter the political realm themselves (like Lynne Cheney), they should be allowed to live their lives outside of it.

16. As far as I'm concern - as long as their parents are passing judgement
on us and supporting a war where OTHER people's young children are sent off to war & to die - then this is of importance to us. If Brian Bilbray is such a suporter of the war then perhaps his children should enlist and help fight this war. If Brian Bilbray thinks that Same-Sex unions/marriage will be the demise of all marriage then perhaps his children should monitored to ensure they are not exhibiting behavior that is demeaning of moral values.

Brian Bilbray lost his rights to allows his kids to "Do what they please" when he decide he was someone who could pass moral judgement over others and send our kids to die.

I respect what you're saying and perhaps if Bilbray was a bit more "Live and let Live" type of politics this would NOT be an issue

20. The part about his kids not serving is fair
But that has little to do with his kids themselves because they make their own decisions that are independent of their father. In this instance, someone should ask Congressman Bilbray if he has encouraged his kids to enlist and if not why hasn't he.

His kids are also 19 and 21 and so their moral behavior is their decision and no longer under his control. That said, if people still want to criticize I would once again suggest pointing it to Mr. Bilbray himself. Someone should ask him "Congressman, if you are so concerned about moral behavior then why don't you encourage your underage daughter not to drink alcohol." I don't see that here. What I see is people posting these kids' pictures and making fun on the kids themselves. You could say that they deserve it for putting the pictures on their myspace but if their dad didn't happen to be in politics, nobody would be laughing at their pictures on a message board.

I suppose my perspective is different because I'm roughly the same age as Bilbray's kids. I just think that it's wrong to force them under public scrutiny because of their father's occupation. I know that it can't be completely avoided, but I think that it should be as much as possible.

18. I talked to Francine Busby's daughter on election day...
Edited on Tue Jun-20-06 03:04 PM by calipendence
She seemed very nice and quite articulate, etc. too and probably close to the same age as Bilbray's kids are here. She probably would visit sites like DU and other blogs on the web and shares many of the same interests and concerns that you or I do here. Of course she's also very self-conscious about not saying anything that would hurt her mother's campaign, so I'll respect her privacy here and not state her viewpoints on specific issues here. In other words, a very sensible kid that compares to the Bilbray kids much the way that Chelsea compares to the Bush twins...

America keeps making the wrong choices!
