You all may have known about this, but I just ran across
this list of religious affiliations of our Senators and Reps.

http://www.adherents.com/adh_congress.html

Thought it was interesting and that I'd pass the URL along.

1. Fascinating....
but why is LGBT listed under religion next to Tammy Baldwin's name? Rather odd, that is.

4. It's almost like it's there to inform readers....
"In case you didn't know it, she's gay, even though that has absolutely nothing to do with this report."

3. No Buddhists, Muslims or atheists?
Just Judaism and Christianity and supposedly some quietly agnostic? The US population itself, by a real quick add up, leaves out 30 or 40 per cent of the population with no religious(or atheistic) representation. The other demo and logic for the splits seem to have logical explanations but the real interest is in the widening split with the reality of the US population itself, albeit much worse on the economic side of things. I think the GOP was fielding some Hindi-Americans, but they seem mostly bucking the system. In the past I am sure Jews and Catholics fared as badly, but in the main, sectarian affiliation alone does not account for RW radicalization. As with the continued under representation of women even as compared to Muslim countries, the real story is economic power of groups.

6. Here in Minnesota we have a Democrat running for Congress
who is a Muslim. If he's elected I believe he'll be the first Muslim Congressman.

5. religion
I was raised a catholic, but I'm so confused about all this crap. I have come to think that it"s my position that I'm a religious man not a religion man.
