Anybody notice Shrub's last comment before closing news conference?
Edited on Mon Jun-26-06 10:46 AM by kentuck
He came down hard on the NYTimes - more or less accused them of treason. He said they made it more difficult to fight the war on terror. However, the White House had told the people several times in the past that they were following the bank accounts of the terrorists. That is not what the White House is angry about - it is that the NYTimes reported how and who they follow with their program. That's what they were trying to keep secret - not from the terrorists but from the American people and the people they might be following with their secret program. It has nothing to do with the "war on terror". They are lying and deceiving once again....what else is new?

1. Big Brother IS watching, and doesn't want us to know about it.
Bush got caught with his pants down.

Again.

The man is spying on us, just like we were in Communist Russia or Nazi Germany.

Bush needs to be impeached. Bush is the Worst. President. Ever.

4. I noticed he claims that this program is legal
But likewise, I'm sure, subjecting that claim to critical analysis he would find to be against the interest of "national security.":sarcasm:

9. Bush is The Decider.
If he decides that the program is legal, it is legal. It does not matter what The Constitution says. That's just a G*ddamned piece of paper to Bush.

If national security were truly a concern, the powers that be would do something to get this man out of The White House. He is causing so much damage to this country, while professing it is for our own good.

2. I wish someone with the necessary skills would post a clip of
this * tantrum along with a clip of his words on 9/11 when he called the hijackers "folks" like they'd keyed a car or something. His anger at the NYT appears far greater than the anger he showed over the violent death of thousands of his subjects.

13. Of course. The former represents a Bush failure; the latter, a success.

7. Did he mention they're reporting nothing new, too?
Geez, right after 9/11 *BOO!* the government said they would be monitoring banking transactions. Bushetal must thing "somebody" is really stupid and I'm guessing it's their 33% followers.

10. OH, but....
It's treasonous for the NYTimes to inform the American people that our gov't is once again spying and gathering information on it's citizens....(I gather that 9/11 made all us "terrorists"?)...BUT...it was NOT treasonous for those assholes at the top of this corrupt administration to out an undercover anti-nuclear proliferation CIA agent AND her cover company in a time of (illegal)"war"...????? the balls of this bunch just never ceases to amaze me...I thought they couldn't shock me any longer...but color me shocked again...who does he think he is....a DICTATOR??? IF every single person in this country is NOT becoming disgusted by their criminal acts by now...I begin to lose hope for the future...
