I am patiently waiting for evidence of a Democratic strategy to
take back the House. The Republicans have shown they will do whatever it takes. President Bush and Laura are out stumping. Millions of dollars being spent by Republicans. Democrats arguing over flag burning and internet freedom. All will be moot if we don't get control of HOR.

3. I am familiar with the 50 state "strategy". I support it but don't think
it will be enough to win back the HOR. President Bush was in Washington, the state to support Dave Reichert and helped with a fund raiser. Reichert picture was on the front page of the Seattle Times. We need a big name democrat to show that the democrats are taking this race serious and supporting Darcy Burner. Sorry but I am pessimistic after the horrible disappointments of 2000 and 2004. We need a huge push. As we should have learned in 2000 and 2004 we will lose close races.

5. So because you don't like the strategy, it doesn't exist?
Interesting. So, does the Sun revolve around you as well, or is it just all of the planets? :sarcasm:

12. Wow looks like some hostility issues here. Is this Bill O'Reilly??
You are putting words in my mouth. I appreciate the 50 state plan to build from the grass roots, I think I said that. But it is not a strategy to win back the HOR in '06. Or at least I don't think it is complete enough. I hope I am wrong and have to apologize later this year. Since 2000 I haven't seen much to be happy about. Sorry if I am a little worried. Every single day we are losing freedoms. Hard to be patient.

14. Put words in your mouth? Really?
Your title is "I am patiently waiting for evidence of a Democratic strategy to take back the House." That is YOUR title. So, where, exactly, am I putting words into your mouth?

But since you are so worried and infinitely more knowledgeable about the political process than our leadership, perhaps you could tell us what would constitute a real strategy?

If you're so worried about losing freedoms, perhaps your best bet wouldn't be to help continue to a meme that prevents Democrats from actually gaining some traction and removing from power the people that are taking away those freedoms, no? And maybe actually doing some homework before repeating such nonsense.

7. what are you looking for?
most voters don't even THINK about the election until the week before.

there will be no signs that a strategy is effective until then.

9. I think many big name Democrats have been out
Kerry's been in 33 states and has raised over $8 million. Edwards and Clark have been out. I assume there were more.

10. I hadn't heard that. Good news. I need to get out more, or as some
might say, "open my f****** eyes."

4. Easy, easy. I understand your hostility but why aim it at me?
I read the papers and watch the news and it looks a lot like status quo. RFK jr and Al Gore have made some waves but I would like to see an organized effort by big named democrats to unseat incumbent republican representatives.

6. It's aimed at you...
...because you're continuing the tired and ignorant meme that Democrats don't have a plan. It's total bullshit and anyone with half a brain knows it.

So, again, open your fucking eyes. There's a plan there, and it's out in the open for everyone to see.

11. Maybe because it's not clear that you actually read & research
before you post

Because I live near not 1, not 2, but THREE highly touted house races where we could pickup a democratic seat with PA-06 PA-07 and PA-08.

Negative posts serve only one purpose and that's to bring down everyone else. And when you post crap like that put on your flame suit. If you don't think there is a plan perhaps it's because you haven't taken the time to get involved with anything. I for one am excited and plan to spend plenty of time helping these three congressional races PLUS the other major pick-up - the ousting of Rick Santorum

8. I apologize for coming across so negative. I am starting to panic.
I believe the 50 state plan will be effective over the long haul, but I was hopping for something a little more dramatic, spectacular, something to let the American public that we are tired of this s*** and aren't going to take it any more. I hope the plan that Vash says is out there includes some way of neutralizing the swift boaters and countering the Fox propaganda machine. Maybe i just can't see it. I hope you are right Vash.
