Norquist: McCain's a Liar, Delusional
Norquist: McCain's a Liar, Delusional
By Justin Rood - June 26, 2006, 5:57 PM
Norquist found the time to talk with conservative news site Newsmax.com about the recently-released McCain Report, which highlighted numerous transactions between Jack Abramoff, Norquist's nonprofit, and various recipients, including organizations tied to former Christian Coalition director Ralph Reed.

"When McCain claims this was something other than an annual contribution, he is lying," Norquist said of the report, which found that ATR frequently pocketed several thousand dollars off the top of the "pass-through" amounts Abramoff funneled through ATR to needy Republican causes:

"McCain has misused his chairmanship of the Indian Affairs committee for two years to attack me and Ralph Reed because he thinks we beat him in South Carolina," Norquist said, referring to McCain's primary battle for the presidency. "He has told people I personally spent $12 million to defeat him in South Carolina. He is delusional<.>"

2. Tee hee hee
It would satisfy me no end if the reich wing had to choose between McCain for the GOP presidential candidate in '08, and any Democrat (fill in the blank). Decisions, decisions...

3. Let's see if I get this straight...
McCain has no integrity and is just being petty. (McCain has reason to be vengeful, both he and his wife having been slandered in the SC race.)
Norquist and Reed are men of honor who have been wronged by McCain.
Now, why is it that just cathes me the wrong way?

Could it be because with both Norquist and Reed they don't just look like lying scumbags they actually are lying scumbags? Yes - I think that's it.

Honestly - my skin crawls when I see the sanctimonious Reed or the empty headed Norquist on TV.

such a baby-face, just like Quayle and Nikles of OK and others.......just 'so sweet' you 'just know' they'd never, ever do anything wrong

edited to add: also that sickening image of Oliver North all spiffed up in his Marine uniform testifying at the Iran-Contra hearings......he stood there, 'such a fine young man', sort of like George Washington fessing up to cutting the cherry tree.....North was 'just helping his president, his commander-in-chief'

and remember how when he was running for the VA senate he repeatedly said 'Clinton is not MY commander-in-chief'
