Repub polling firm shows Floridians don't approve of Bush and Iraq.
Kos posted this poll today, and there are some interesting tidbits in it.

http://www.strategicvision.biz/political/florida_poll_062806.htm

1. Do you approve or disapprove of President Bush's overall job performance?
Approve 38%
Disapprove 53%
Undecided 9%

2. Do you approve or disapprove of President Bush's handling of the economy?
Approve 32%
Disapprove 60%
Undecided 8%

3. Do you approve or disapprove of President Bush's handling of Iraq?
Approve 40%
Disapprove 48%
Undecided 12%

4. Do you approve or disapprove of President Bush's handling of the war on terrorism?
Approve 49%
Disapprove 40%
Undecided 11% (This is the only topic he got a higher approval on)

5. Do you approve or disapprove of President Bush's handling of the immigration issue?
Approve 34%
Disapprove 52%
Undecided 14%

The poll indicates if it is one party or the other, so I gather this is both parties included. Very indicative.

And this part shows that their fight on women's rights did not take hold here.

12. Would you like to see the United States Supreme Court overturn Roe v. Wade?
Yes 36%
No 56%
Undecided 8%

1. I should mention this gives GOP the edge in most races...
but then it is a Republican polling company. Nelson comes out looking very good.

The only thing i can figure, is the fact we haven't had another major attack since 9-11. Other then that Bu$h has been defeated in Florida.

3. I'd like to know
what bush is doing to protect our country from terrorists other than just not ignoring August 6th memos again?

4. That is a Republican firm

The founder and CEO worked for Bob Dole's campaign in '96. They have polled for GOP clients and aren't sponsored by independent newspapers or broadcasters. In '04 the Strategic Vision polls generally underestimated Kerry's support in battleground states and also claimed New Jersey was basically a toss up, which was ludicrous.

In '04 I had too high an opinion of Stretegic Vision since they appeared to be weighting the state samples properly based on party ID within that state.

Their surveys are interesting to look at, due to the large number of questions they ask, not always directly related to an upcoming race.
