If Bush was serious about ending the ME Conflict he would send Clinton
and Carter to negotiate not Condi who is a lightweight, but like most efforts of his this is not sincere and his ego couldn't handle it!

1. But that's an outstanding idea, saracat. Might hurt
Kindasleezy's feelings though.

6. I said send them both as only Carter and Clinton had success with the ME!
And the two together would be formidable.

7. The Big Dog
would have handled this way. This is the leadership we need.

"WASHINGTON: Former US President Bill Clinton who many Arab thoughts was more even-handed on the Palestine question than his predecessors shocked many when he asserted in Toronto last week that had Israel been attacked by Iraq or Iran during his presidency, he would have been ready to “grab a rifle, get in a ditch and fight and die.”

“The Israelis know that if the Iraqi or the Iranian army came across the Jordan River, I would personally grab a rifle, get in a ditch, and fight and die,” Clinton told the crowd at a fund-raising event for a Toronto Jewish charity Monday."

17. I find that comment idiotic and an attempt to create an
image of himself as a potential warrior. In his role as PRESIDENT, he would be far more helpful negotiating with or threatening Iraq or Iran, than he would be personally fighting. Why is he compelled to posture as a alpha male cowboy. What he really was - a brilliant man capable of designing a solution IS better than that.

12. And of course W has had almost 6 and done nothing!
You act like people have not been begging W to intervene for years but not his problem. He is only just NOW thinking of sending Condi! Why are all the other nations already helping? Because he doesn't give a shit!Bye.

16. Clinton at least TRIED, it wasn't his fault Yitzhak Rabin was murdered
For what it's worth, Reagan & Bush I had 12 years, and Bush has had 5.5 years. This is DEMOCRATIC underground in case you've forgotten.

13. Not a chance.
He'd let the Middle East burn down before he'd ask Clinton to bail him out on this. The only thing bigger than his incompetence is his ego.
