I don't think it's a photo op. I think he means it. Also, when I leave a tooth under my pillow, the Easter Bunny leaves me a shiny quarter and a ribbed condom.

:silly:

President Bush hugs a woman as he greets friends and family members of victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attack at the Pentagon. On Monday, he laid a wreath marking the fifth anniversary of the terrorist attacks.

1. I'd love to see a wide-angle shot of that scene.

2. These people are hugging the enemy.
If he'd done his job, their loved ones would not have perished on 9/11. And they're too stupid to realize that he's the enemy. Pathetic.

3. Headline from 9/14/01 paper-...Bush to "hug and cry" w/shaken citizens
Edited on Thu Sep-14-06 01:37 PM by fed-up
That man disgusts me to no end

I am packing boxes and just found the box with newspapers I saved from 2001

From the front page of my local paper, Friday September 14, 2001:

Hopes fading

More than 4,700
reported missing;
Bush to "hug and cry"
with shaken citizens

New York (AP) - The gruesome search through the graveyard of the World Trade Center yielded no survivors as the death toll mounted Thursday, and hopes dimmed for more than 4,700 missing souls. President Bush promised to visit New York to "hug and cry" with its shaken citizens.

4. I'm sure he's thinking "your family member died for a noble cause...
'cuz their deaths allowed me to make the case to attack Iraq (and hopefully Iran) and erode your civil liberties."

or he's thinking, "I feel your pain. I know what it feels like to lose a loved one. Condi's got a boyfriend and Pickles hasn't put out since the twins were born."
