up in the morning, just to see if the World is coming to an end and I can stay home from work. Soledad O'Brien was saying that *'s approval rating was 37% while the graphic on the screen said 47%. This is the second time in the last few months that I have seen the graphic on CNN disagree with the words coming out of the set by 10% in *'s favor. Early in the morning lots of people in coffee shops, airports and the like are seeing CNN without being able to hear the sound and see a number that is substantially more favorable to * than it should be. I don't think this is an accident. Have other DUers noticed this? I don't know what terms to use in a search, if you are aware of other threads on this topic, please post links to them here.

1. * Always Gets A Few Percentage Points Added To His Total
That's just common procedure. It's basically to compensate for those who strongly disapprove of him, by eliminating them from the total. Thus, adding between 5-10% to his ratings.

There is nothing wrong with this. It is "honest" journalism. The media are just doing their job and supporting their "leader."

2. no worries
I've seen three polls, one at 44%, one at 45%, and one at 37%.

But they all constitute crap approval, and Congress remains as highly regarded as a scorching case of Chlamydia.

3. I think that the White House just worked overtime to get the
media whores to spout their talking points today.
