It's Florida again! Unbelievable! LTTE - voting machines!

I voted early on Oct. 25 at the Jan Platt Library. My first two votes registered quickly and easily; however, my vote for the House seat did not register. I hit my selection at least a dozen times and it did not take. I tried to get someone to assist me, but there was no one there to help. Finally my vote registered. After casting several more votes, I tried to vote for the secretary of agriculture. I twice selected the Democrat, and twice it indicated that I had voted for the Republican. I called that vote two times, and on the third attempt it accepted my vote correctly.

Upon leaving, I told the woman to whom I handed my voting card about the problem. She said, "Sometimes these things just don't work."

Where were the pro-bono lawyers? Where were the poll watchers? I would have screamed bloody murder. THAT is why we must come out in DROVES!

BTW, it was very difficult to even find this LTTE online. My husband was reading the Tampa Trib (rethug rag) when he referenced it.

To me, it just seems so pointless. We're voting into black holes and hoping that the entity on the other end counts them all. It's just demoralizing.

7. Vote no matter what and if the machine causes a problem,

raise holy hell. If you've had a problem, look for a news crew on your way out the door and publicize it. They might try to steal it and we've got to stay a step ahead.

I am a real numb on these things but I do recall that slot machine were set to pay or not. It was years ago so guess it is easy with this thing than with stuff that you had to control from getting in side each machine. Heck even juke boxes would count the songs played. I see no reason not to go back to paper. So we do not find out in 5 min.

10. Voting in Florida? Here's my plan.

Print out this LTTE and carry it with you.
When you register (BEFORE you vote), find out WHO IS IN CHARGE if there is a problem.
Tell all the Dems you know to SCREAM bloody murder if something like the above happens.
(They will have a problem if there are lots of people screaming...LOL!
Call all the radio/TV stations referencing the problem.
Ask politely, but LOUDLY (so that everyone there hears you) that you would like a machine that WORKS.
When in doubt, scream, scream, scream.

DON'T stay home, make it difficult for these thugs.

We are going to win THIS time!
