Good morning (07:35) from Scotland
What a way to be greeted in the morning!

Several hours ago I said that the whole world needed this to happen and it looks like it has...bigtime. From the euphoria I'm seeing on DU it seems like the neocon nightmare has been squashed and the work of guys like you has been a big part of that battle. Thank you on behalf of the non-US citizens of the world.

I feel as if a weight has been lifted off my shoulders; as if the cloud covering the sun just blew aside. And I'm being series.

I'll be watching DU from my office for final confirmation that the Dems have taken the Senate too.

with the Declaration of Arbroath!

Lovely country and lovely people.

But tonight it's champagne instead of Talisker!

5. It's so good to hear from our friends across the pond! We worked our asses off, we want to gain the
trust of our friends all over the world again. With your help, we will!

But be advised - the necons and republicans over here are monsters and they will fight us every step of the way, it'll be ugly!

6. Good Morning. Guess what, I got to vote on paper like the Scots
do. Unfortunately, they weren't hand counted but at least there was a paper trail.

Mckenzie, thank you. I know this affects the whole world and from my little District in New York, we now have Dem representing us, by the name of Michael Arcuri, going to Washington for the first time in 50 years!

19. Even if ALL the news is good, we have our work cut out for us.
We have a HUGE mess to clean up, a lot of accountability to demand, and they won't roll over and beg willingly. Not by a long shot. But it's a start. And on OUR terms for a change.

I am still waiting to hear about the Wilson/Madrid fight...eventually I'll need to go to bed :D Of course Bill Richardson won in a blowout, as did Tom Udall and Jeff Bingaman.

It is nice to feel hopeful again. :hi:

26. Good morning from Maryland!
And thanks for your wonderful words. It means a lot to have people around the world sending their congratulations (and I suspect, relief, too).

Someday, I'll get to Scotland. A friend of mine is from there, and I've always wanted to go.

exactly how they feel about this election of ours...I think I can say we are relieved also...but I will keep my fingers crossed for a while yet...until those we elected yesterday, are installed in their respective offices...
