1. Well yes to both for Veep.
No to both for Prez.

If they were seperate polls I'd take Obama over Edwards for VP and Edwards over Obama for President.

6. I take Obama over Edwards for either POTUS or VP.

Neither are my first choice, obviously. That said, I think Obama would be a great VP choice.

My preference for POTUS as of now:

Clark
Gore
Obama

2. Tough choice
To be honest, if I had to take just one of them, I'd go with Obama.

But I really like Edwards too and I think he's doing a real service with his focus on poverty, inequality, and economic insecurity.

I'd like to see them both on the ticket, which could very realistically give us 16 years of Democratic presidential control.

Either Edwards/Obama or Obama/Edwards. The second, however, is probably impossible; Edwards wouldn't take the running mate position a second time and I doubt it would even be offered because a big aspect to the modern running mate nomination process is the big boost the ticket gets from the media spotlight and favorability over the new face. Edwards isn't a new face.

So I'd have to say Edwards/Obama '12.

4. I know. It's called "spliting the vote."

Political science 101.

Edit: I just hope it benefits someone besides Hillary.

9. Well if it's your guy...
... I certainly won't be complaining.

I'm quite interested in hearing what the General has to say this time around.

5. Are we falling for the "Librul media" hype?
There are plenty of people to choose from. Let's not fall for this corporate media trick. Just saying... :hide:

10. I certainly think so.
But I'm jaded by living in a purple state. Obama, sadly, won't win my state because of his color (went through that with Harold Ford Jr. recently, so that's the recent stench) and Edward, despite being Southern, isn't the type of Southerner that Southern and mid-Western white men vote for - not rugged enough or something - too "lawyerly" and "white collar," I guess.

Therefore, I think any interest in either of them by the media provides false hope to Dems, nationwide.

That said, I really like Obama and hope that a 2008 Democratic presidency, not his own, will re-open the floodgates of intellectualism and tolerance that will allow him to one day BE the president.

8. There has been a Bush or a Clinton on the ticket for the last 30 years.
That's an incredible statistic I just heard on PBS!
