Question for any candidate bashers here
Why not reveal who YOU'RE backing or would likely back as a preface to your "critique?"

1. You make an unwarranted assumption
Edited on Fri Dec-29-06 09:37 AM by TechBear_Seattle
That being that we "candidate bashers" support anyone.

Too often, I despite all of the candidates and wouldn't give any of them the time of day, much less my vote. What is a conscientious, values-driven voter to do?

2. An assumption yes. Unwarranted, no
From experience here we've all learned (or most of us have) that when someone piles on a candidate, their agenda is to "protect" their beloved one.

May not be YOUR situation... but it is much more common than not.

4. I always decide while in line at the polls
to tip your hand before that seems short sighted.

I, like most voters, vote for the one I like best.

In the primaries I tend to go for the most likely to shake up the status-quo, In the general I go for the DEM

6. I agree
I try to post who I am backing if giving some critique. Sometimes I don't if it seems to be out of place.
But, it would be interesting to see which camp is bashing the most and then find out why.
Why such trashing of the other candidates?
I admit that yesterday I did get a little sick of the groupie like drooling of Edwards but, tried to realize they were excited. It was thier big day.
I do also admit to trashing Hillary. She is the only one I do trash.
I understand the loyalties tied to your candidate and try to respect that. I do try to understand this as I feel the same about Obama. And I feel bad when people throw out untrue accusations and misinformation based on just not liking him. So, I try to understand how someone else would feel if I trashed thier guy.

7. I'm an equal oportunity basher......
As long as the candidate is a Repug or Repug lite ( eg: LIEberman)

I'll take any Democrat over the asshat we have in there now.

Ok.....I'll confess....I liked Feingold and now I'm on the fence.

8. Same fence I was sitting on this summer
Plus hoping Gore might concider. During the harkin steak fry, saw it on cspan, and right afterwards when Obama said he was thinking of it I decided to support my senator.
But, if he doesn't get in, then move the hell over and give me a place on that fence.

9. I back either Cornel West, or Bernie Sanders, dammit!
Granted Cornel West isn't an office holder, but what the hell and Bernie Sanders was just elected Senator, but dammit, I can dream can't I?

By the way, were you expecting a serious answer?

11. Well, I'll be honest, these two guys, and a few other people are closest to my...
politics. I just threw them out there because, mostly, they have no chance in hell of being nominated. Call them my "dream team" so to speak. As far as folks that do have a (slim) chance, but are a little more removed from my politics, Dennis Kucinich and Al Sharpton. Don't agree with them all the time, but good guys nonetheless.

12. The guys I support aren't in the race.
Gore, Feingold, and Dean.

Dean has promised to stay on as DNC chair.

Gore sounds like he won't run.

Feingold WILL NOT run.

I don't want to see all the same also-rans from 2004 on the ticket. I also believe that EVERY senator should cling to their seat to keep the majority.

13. My criteria: Must be from anti-corruption, open government wing of the Dem party.
For starters.

Kerry leads far and away on that , but, I am open to supporting Clark and anyone who shows the willingness to investigate and expose government corruption that is at the center of and effects every other issue in this nation.
